The ability to enter into and enforce contracts is an essential, some would even say beautiful, part of contemporary American legal and social life. Though it is easily taken for granted, its importance would be hard to overstate.

Over the years, we have compiled a list of the top four contract drafting errors:

  1. Didn't get it in writing (technically, a non-drafting error).
  2. Got it in writing, but don't understand it (see also #3).
  3. Got it in writing, but it doesn't say what it should (see also #2).
  4. Got it in writing, but shouldn't have.

Travis & Travis specializes in preparing contracts that set forth our clients’ agreements in clear, concise, enforceable language.

Our attorneys have prepared, reviewed, and revised numerous real estate purchase and sale contracts, employment agreements, partnership agreements, investment agreements, leases, publishing deals, lending contracts, etc., etc.  Oh, and not to be forgotten, an agreement for the proper handling of a Wiccan book of spells.
